Under the sea, shall we?

We’ve been talking about getting ourselves a new camera. My choice would be any SLR type of camera because I adore people with SLR (like Kay haha). But he prefers point & shoot type of camera. His reason is simple. SLR is too big and heavy so it would be difficult for us who love light traveling. Besides, the sharp pictures can come from SLR or point & shoot camera provided we have the skill to capture and edit the picture. Yeah so I do have to agree to his view. After all he’s the Mr. Gadget of the family. But we did agree on one thing. The camera should be shock & waterproof. We have 2 options to choose from: (1) Olympus μ Tough 8000 and (2) Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1. We opt for the second choice because Lumix beats μ Tough at the design (and maybe a few specs but who am I to talk about specs haha).

Last Saturday, before Zatil’s wedding, we stopped by at Alamanda hoping to score ourselves the Lumix. Unfortunately, Lumix is still unavailable at that area. They only have μ Tough to offer us. So we decided to rush down to KL after the wedding. Soon we found ourselves wondering around Sg Wang/ Low Yat scouting around for the camera. At last, we found a shop that has the Lumix on display. Ahh it’s like falling in love for the first time. So we wasted no more time and bought the silver Lumix. Hubby worked his charm to get the gorilla-pod for FOC instead of the normal tripod (He’s been eyeing for the gorilla-pod since forever).

Oh can’t wait to put the camera on heavy test, under the sea :)
